About the course
I'm pleased to confirm that I will run another BWY Yoga Foundation Course from October 24 to June 25.
Please contact me to register your interest, I am just finalising details and will update here ASAP.
The Foundation Course Level 1 is a 60 hour (minimum) course for students with at least 2 years of regular yoga practice who would like to deepen their practice and knowledge of yoga and perhaps, but not necessarily, train to become a yoga teacher themselves in the future. (Please note that this is not a teacher training course).
The course includes practice, discussion, talks, journaling and reflection based around Patanjali's Eight Limbs of Yoga looking more deeply at postures, their anatomy and physiology, breath and breath control, hand mudras, cleansing practices, yoga history and traditions and yoga philosophy. Students also work on developing a personal/home practice and are encouraged to reflect through a journal. The course offers a wonderful opportunity for self development and friendship.
There is just one set text for the course 'The Heart of Yoga' by TKV Desikachar, which includes a translation of The Yoga Sutra of Patanjali. See the recommended reading for more details.
Testimonials - see what the students from the 2022 course had to say here.
Information on the British Wheel of Yoga's website.
